This treatment is designed to prepare the nail for antifungal therapy. By thinning the nail plate with a nail drill, we remove the upper protective layer, opening the pores and making the nail more receptive to the treatment. It's important to schedule the preparation and laser treatment close together for optimal results.

Fungal nail infections are notoriously stubborn. If you prefer to avoid oral medication, it can take up to 1.5 years for the fungus to be completely eliminated and the nail to fully regrow. Consistency is key in the treatment process. Not all remedies are equally effective, so it may take some trial and error, and unfortunately, there are no guarantees.
